One-time vs Year-round CAR insurance
Ideal for Non-Standard Projects
Project-specific CAR insurance offers particular advantages for smaller or intermittent projects by removing annual policy minimums. Organizations with limited or irregular project pipelines benefit from significantly improved cost efficiency.
Tailored Policy Adaptability
Coverage terms can be precisely modified per project to align with unique risk exposures, ensuring optimal protection. This customized approach delivers precisely calibrated safeguards for each undertaking.
Project-Based Premium Calculation
Each construction all risks (CAR) insurance premium is individually determined by the specific project's scope and risk profile, eliminating advance payments for unrelated future projects. This per-project pricing structure proves ideal for businesses handling fluctuating project volumes or diverse project categories.

CAR insurance tips
01
Submit project quotation
It is best to submit the entire project quotation to the insurance company to assess the project risks. If special engineering tools are required, such as cranes and scaffolding, the insurance company must be informed in advance to avoid purchasing an inappropriate insurance policy.
03
Pay attention to the insurance period
Pay attention to whether the insurance period matches the actual construction period. If the project is not completed when the policy expires, you must notify the insurance company before the expiration date. If you notify the insurance company after the expiration date, the insurance company has the right to refuse the insurance.
05
Be aware of your deductible
When purchasing the first and second parts, you need to pay attention to the deductible. The larger the deductible percentage, the higher the amount the insured needs to pay. You must think twice and compare with multiple insurance companies before purchasing. Generally speaking, the higher the deductible, the lower the premium, and vice versa.
02
Understand your policy coverage
To clearly understand the coverage of the policy, generally after you receive the quotation, the quotation will list the coverage, restrictions and exclusions of the work insurance. If there is anything you don’t understand or are unsure whether it is covered, please contact us for clarification.
04
Note project changes
Whether the nature of the project has changed during the project. If there are major changes in the total project amount or the nature of the project, the insurance company must be notified. If there is a discrepancy between the actual project content and the insurance policy, the insurance company has the right not to make any compensation.
At the same time, you should also note that the demolition of main walls or illegal structures will not be covered by general insurance policies. If you need coverage, you will need to pay additional premiums.
06
Adding the Landlord to the Terms
The owner can ask the renovation and maintenance company to add the owner and the property management company as additional insured persons in its third-party insurance annual plan or the single insurance plan for the related project to enhance protection. The premium will also be cheaper than if the owner purchases third-party insurance independently.
07
Check whether the decoration company has purchased effective labor insurance and third-party insurance
Even if the decoration company has purchased labor insurance, the owner should also check whether the name of the insurance company on the labor insurance policy is the same as the name of the construction company, the validity period of the policy (Contract Period & Maintenance Period), the number of insured employees and the nature of the work, etc. In particular, the column for the nature of the project will usually be filled in with words such as "interior decoration project or home decoration" (Renovation, Repair & Maintenance, Decoration).
08
Pay attention to the types of works covered by the insurance policy and the exclusion clauses
The third party insurance for general interior decoration projects may not include scaffolding or exterior wall projects. Generally, erection and dismantle of scaffold is not covered by engineering insurance, and the relevant insurance is usually purchased by the scaffolding company. If the decoration project requires the use of scaffolding for aerial work, such as: air-conditioning installation, window making, outdoor projects, air-conditioning installation, it is necessary to pay attention to the nature of the project to specifically indicate use of scaffold but excluding erection and dismantle of scaffold. If the insurance only says clerical worker, then the policy only covers the company's office employees and does not include construction workers.
